Step 2: Bespoke 1:1 Course

Through these sessions, you’ll develop a deeper awareness of how your mind and body interact, learn practical tools to manage stress and challenging situations, and create a mindfulness practice that works specifically for you.

  • Duration: 5 x 2-hour sessions, scheduled to suit you

  • Content: A mixture of mindfulness talks, guided meditation practices, and reflection on your experiences

  • Practice: Home exercises and guidance on integrating mindfulness into your everyday life

  • Support: Flexible pacing and content tailored to your needs and goals

FAQ’s

  • The one to one course is designed for 2 hour sessions over 5 consecutive weeks around agreed dates and times that are agreed.

    It is not mandatory to attend any mindfulness session beforehand or indeed have any experience of Mindfulness at all, but if you would like to experience and learn more about Mindfulness, The Mindfulness Mind offers a free 2-hour introductory session to get a taste of what you might experience and how you might benefit from taking the intense course. Book your taster session.

  • The one to one course is bespoke, to your needs and therefore to fully benefit from the one to one sessions, it is highly recommended you attend them and also carry out home practice between sessions, to fully develop and weave mindfulness into your daily life.

  • This introductory session is free and is designed for you to learn more about Mindfulness, gain some insight into the course content and how you might benefit from the course. You will also experience guided meditations and practicing mindfulness and to ascertain if you feel the course is right for you at this time in your life. 

    For those taking the 8 week course it is mandatory session, to ensure that you come to the core course knowing all of the above and so all participants have received the same information when they start the course, but for those on the 2 day intensive course this is not mandatory.   • The course is designed around your needs and will provide you with hints and tips of how to weave Mindfulness into your daily life through discussion, talks, guided practices in the form of exercises and meditation and hints and tips, so you can become calmer, handle the challenges of life in a more constructive way, as well as having a deeper insight into your own wellbeing and what your body and mind needs. The ‘ground’ rules of safety and confidentiality are paramount to the success of your course.

    You will have time to ask questions and share your experiences in a confidential and safe space with the teacher, but the key is to fully immerse yourself in a relaxing two hour session as part of the 5 week course, where you will learn more about Mindfulness and what your mind and body needs to be a calmer person and helps you to constructively handle life’s challenges and any suffering you have to support your wellbeing. Whilst there is an element of teaching, the aim is to coach you to learn about Mindfulness through  acceptance, self-compassion and curiosity.  Book a call to discuss your needs

  • The one-to-one course is intensive, by the nature of the course, however, as it is bespoke, the pace of it will be around your needs and how you respond to Mindfulness. The theme is to coach you into understanding how Mindfulness could support you with specific suffering or challenges.  No prior knowledge in Mindfulness is needed, just an open mind and a willingness to want to change the way you currently live your life. Mindfulness practice is encouraged between sessions and will deepen your understanding of yourself and in a short space of time, you usually start to see the benefits, which not just positively impact you, but those who you come into contact with.


    However, what it is not, is a cure to challenges and suffering you may be experiencing. Mindfulness is designed to help you create more self-compassion, a better understand of how you can overcome challenges, when normally you might be overwhelmed. The challenges may still exist post course, as might the suffering e.g. pain emotional or physical, anxiety etc, but it is how you manage that suffering is the benefit for taking the course.

    So, some of the benefits of this course could be if you can feel anxious at times, have trouble sleeping and unable to relax, overwhelmed with the challenges you face and overall want to lead a calmer, happier life, then this course will certainly help you. You will be taught how to meditate using different meditations according to need, be given hints and tips of how you can embrace mindfulness into your life with practice and acceptance.

    Before embarking on this course, a call will be arranged to understand how the course needs to be designed for your needs. However, prior to booking this course, do contact Sally through the contact page so that any concerns can be addressed and a chat about how the course may help you.

  • No prior experience is at all needed, as the Mindfulness coaching course is intended for those with little or no experience in Mindfulness- the guidance over the 5 weeks builds on your Mindfulness learning and experiences. To truly benefit from the 5 week course, you will benefit with a personal commitment to home practice to develop your mindfulness journey. Having an open mind at the outset and wanting to change your life for the better will certainly help you fully engage and develop your mindfulness journey.

  • The course is run by Sally, owner of The Mindfulness Mind. She is a qualified teacher through the Mindfulness Association and is BAMBA registered (British Association of Mindfulness Based Approaches) which is the UK only recognised association of Mindfulness Teachers.

    Sally encourages you to contact her to ask any questions, no matter how small, through the website contact page, where she will offer you a call or can send you a link for a Zoom chat, or if you just prefer to email that is fine too. It is really important that you ask any questions you have, before you embark on any Mindfulness courses, so that you clear any concerns from your mind before you start, that way you can fully engage with the course and benefit from it fully.

  • Yes, there is and for all courses and retreats, payment in full is required upon booking. However, if for any reason you need to cancel then providing it is not within 6 weeks of attending then a full refund will be given. Or if you prefer, your booking can be moved to another time convenient to you. All details of the Refund Policy can be found at the footer of the website.

  • There are a number of reviews which have been received from past participants. Many of whom prior to starting the course would not have expected such a profound positive impact on them as individuals and extending to others they come into contact with, as a result of doing this course.   • Yes, this online 10 course can be delivered to groups who may benefit from it. Starting with the free 2 hour introductory session, they will learn more about the course, how they benefit from the course and those they come into contact with and what is expected of them whilst on the course in terms of home practice to deepen their mindfulness. If you have a group interested, then use the contact page to give a brief outline of the group and proposed start date for the course so that a group arrangement can be made.

  • Most participants, feel this way when having a one to one coaching session.

    From the outset the safety and confidentiality are made very clear and there will be no tolerance of breach the ‘ground’ rules on this topic. In addition, though online, there is a true sense of support from the teacher, as they are there to support you. You are welcome to keep your camera off if you wish at any point, so you can fully immerse yourself during meditations and putting them on when not. Any concerns, do feel you can make contact through the website where you will be offered, a call or zoom chat from Sally who runs this course or if you want to communicate via email that is fine too

  • As part of your joining instructions, you will be given details of Zoom, which you can download for free onto a tablet, laptop or your mobile. Very simple to install and is free.  If possible, it is preferred if you can use a laptop or tablet, for you to easily see other participants and see any chats that are generated, which can be a challenge on a mobile.

    A zoom link will be sent through via email for each course day, which you just click and press and it will take you to a ‘virtual waiting’ room where you stay until you are invited into the course session.

  • Mindfulness in whatever form of teaching or guiding will provide you with tools and techniques to develop understanding of how you can work with your mind and body to feel less anxious, overwhelmed and to avoid ruminating as examples of commons issues people are faced with.

    However, Mindfulness on its own is not a cure to those with severe mental health issues and therefore you are welcome to speak to your general practitioner should you want any reassurances.
